City of Allen Museum Depot

City of Allen’s Museum Depot is a replica of the original Allen H&TC Rail Line Depot and showcases the City’s historical connection to the railroad. In 2020, the City acquired a 1910 steam engine and caboose, “The Ebenezer Allen,” for display adjacent to the depot. JBI Partners prepared the 2023 Master Plan for the surrounding plaza, featuring a 28 foot tall custom shade structure inspired by historic train platforms with period detailing, decorative wrought iron elements, and integrated lighting to highlight the locomotive at night. JBI later completed the Phase 1 construction documents, coordinating structural design, lighting, and fabrication to balance historical character with modern standards.
