Finch Park, a 32 acre landmark and one of McKinney’s oldest parks, has served as a community gathering place since 1914 and was revitalized to balance historic preservation with modern recreation. JBI Partners worked closely with City staff and residents to develop a comprehensive master plan that addressed aging infrastructure and accessibility through an ADA compliant looped trail designed as a story trail with interpretive stations celebrating the park’s history.  Phased improvements added upgraded tennis, basketball, and pickleball courts, expanded parking and pavilions, and a redesigned playground with new equipment and a splash pad. The project ensures Finch Park remains an accessible, vibrant destination for generations to come.
