Glendale Park

Glendale Park is a 62 acre neighborhood park in South Oak Cliff that, despite being heavily used, had long been underdeveloped and fragmented by a major arterial roadway and Five Mile Creek.  JBI Partners worked closely with the local community to develop a comprehensive master plan focused on reconnecting the park’s three distinct sections and creating clear, welcoming entrances. The vision introduces a signature bridge spanning the arterial roadway, new grand entrances, a spray ground replacing the aging pool, signature playgrounds, expanded parking, upgraded trails and picnic areas, and new recreational amenities, including the conversion of tennis courts to basketball courts and the integration of a previously planned athletic facility.  JBI completed the design for Phase 1 improvements, including a signature playground, pavilion, restroom building, and trail replacements, positioning Glendale Park as a Signature Park within the City of Dallas park system.
