Harrington Park

Harrington Park is an 18.5 acre historic community park in Plano, dedicated in 1895 and serving as a key access point to the Chisholm Trail, the City’s primary north south trail corridor along Spring Creek. Hidden behind surrounding development and centered on aging facilities, the park required a thoughtful revitalization to improve visibility, access, and recreational value while addressing floodplain constraints. JBI Partners led a community driven master planning process, beginning with detailed site surveys and extensive public engagement that shaped the final vision. The master plan introduces a new parking lot, reservable athletic practice facility, pickleball courts adjacent to the senior center, a lighted perimeter trail with trailhead connections, outdoor fitness stations, a new playground with picnic areas, outdoor games, maintenance facilities, shade structures, and site furnishings, positioning Harrington Park as a revitalized, accessible destination for all ages.
