Moss Glen Park transformed a once forgotten 5 acre site in far north Dallas, tucked between the President George Bush Turnpike and a residential neighborhood, into a vibrant community park driven by years of neighborhood advocacy. JBI Partners expanded its role from trail design to full park build out, revising the master plan and preparing complete design development and construction documents through a highly collaborative public process. The final design features an expanded looped trail around an existing pond, accessible exercise stations, seating areas, an inclusive playground for all ages, a dedicated swing area overlooking the water, site furnishings, and extensive tree planting. Shaped by strong community input and City support, Moss Glen Park stands as a powerful example of how grassroots efforts and thoughtful design can create meaningful neighborhood spaces.
