Randall Park

Dallas, Texas

Randall Park is an existing community park and athletic facility adjacent to Woodrow Wilson High School.  The City of Dallas and the Dallas Independent School District desired to create a shared facility that would serve each other’s users.  The project vision was to upgrade the athletic facility to a competitive High School level and develop additional community park improvements.  The facility would be available to Dallas residents when not in use by the school.

The project was constructed in 2 phases.  The first phase included the regulation soccer field and girls fast pitch softball field.  The second phase included the boy’s baseball diamond, completion of the parking lot, and other community park improvements.  Specific improvements included full-size competition level baseball, softball and soccer fields to be used by adjacent Woodrow Wilson High School, covered bleachers and grandstand seating, scoreboards, a 1,600 square foot concession stand / maintenance facility / restroom building, project fencing with custom gates and entrance monuments, a 100-space parking lot, athletic field and site lighting, a memorial plaza with a custom overhead structure, playground and tennis court renovations, landscape and tree planting, playground improvements, and an automatic irrigation system for the entire site.
